Pandora’s Italian headquarters is located in a stunning glazed-clad building within the recently redeveloped business district of Porta Nuova in Milan where it occupies the top three floors. ISG provided the full internal fit out of an additional floor according to the expansion requirements of the customer, including an extra 16 workstations and a large training room.
One week after the start date, some design modifications were agreed by the architects and the client, causing a pause in construction of one month. ISG proved to be a highly flexible partner by incorporating the design changes upon the re-start of construction works.
The installation of the air handling unit in the false ceiling was also a challenging issue, requiring the team to carry out structural modifications of the external facade at a 40-metre height, in order to insert a proper ventilation grill.
The scope of works involved the upgrade and restoration of the false ceilings, the installation of plasterboard and glazed partitions, floor finishes and bespoke joinery for the kitchenette. ISG carried out the upgrade of pre-existing M&E systems and paintings throughout.
Minor works were also executed at the ninth floor where ISG carried out - in a live environment - the displacement of some partitions according to the new layout.
