ISG won a competitive tender and secured the fit out project of the new Italian headquarters for Michelin, the leading French tyre manufacturer. The project was located within the recently-constructed Bodio Center, the first business park developed within the city of Milan, consisting of five buildings project managed by Cushman & Wakefield.

The project

ISG commenced works with the strip out of pre-existing mechanical and electrical systems across three floors in order to install them anew. The scope of works also entailed new plasterboards, ceilings, flooring and paintings, as well as the installation of glazed and foldable partitions and acoustic panels running underneath the ceilings. Covering an overall area of 4,500 sq m, ISG managed the installation of bespoke furniture and branding throughout the new office premises.

As some design details were only agreed during the execution phase, ISG had to come up with innovative solutions for the construction of special items, such as the big plasterboard tyre serving as coffee point and break out area in the middle corridor on each floor.

Re-establishing the relationship with Cushman & Wakefield who acted as Project Manager and Director of Works, the project was completed on time to our customer’s satisfaction in early January 2016.
